Code of Conduct Assessment (India)

M-CRIL is accredited by the Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) to conduct Code of Conduct Assessments of MFIs in India.

The Code of Conduct refers to the Code developed by members of the microfinance networks in India (Sa-Dhan and the Microfinance Institutions Network) with reference to the Reserve Bank of India’s Fair Practices Code.

Adherence to the Code of Conduct is a requirement for bank lending to MFIs in India.

For the Code of Conduct Assessment. M-CRIL follows the agreed parameters of the harmonised code, covering:

M-CRIL applies the ADDO method of appraisal that analyses Approval, Documentation, Dissemination and Observance (ADDO) under each category, as applicable.
